Year Round Fireworks!
Thanks to the newly enacted "Rocket's Red Glare Act," retailers are authorized to sell consumer fireworks year-round.
Prior to this law, smaller roadside stands and retail locations were strictly limited to selling during the Independence Day and New Year's seasons. The new legislation also legalized bottle rockets for the first time since 1981.
Important details to know before buying:
Private Property Use: You can set off fireworks on your private property, but you must give prior notice to local firefighting agencies.
Burn Bans: Fireworks are prohibited if there is an active county burn ban in place.
Local Ordinances: While the state allows year-round sales and usage, individual cities and towns can still enforce their own local zoning, safety, or noise ordinances.
